Enjoy the Exciting and Exuberant Dancing Singing Drumming and History of Central America & the Caribbean Hamalali Wayunagu Garifuna Fokloric & Modern Dance Company was founded in Bronx, New York in 1992.
Part of its aim and goal is the important task of exposing, sharing and teaching the Garifuna culture through the arts, music, dance and drama.  Hamalali Wayunagu uses an array of dances which include Punta, Wanaragua, Chumba, Hungu-Hunga, Paranda, Samei, Gunjei and others in addition to poetry and drama from the vast art repertoire of Garifuna Culture.
